Date : Aug 22nd 2009 from 1pm to 5pm Location Bellevue City Hall 450 110th Ave Bellevue , WA UNITED STATES
TiE Seattle has put together a small, highly focused set of classes, through which you can quickly learn the inns and outs of becoming an Entrepreneur. This boot camp series will cover topics such as Legal Planning, Business Plan Development, Marketing and Financing. The first day of the boot camp covers Marketing and Financing.
Marketing
To set up your startup for success you need to have a great marketing strategy. A marketing plan gives you perspective on how to develop your products as well – by forcing you to think about your go to market strategy and value proposition. This session is geared to give you a quick introduction to marketing. The TiE panelists will draw from their experiences and share with you insight on the various marketing strategies. This session is definitely one you should not miss.
Funding and Financing
The secret to starting any venture is having a good funding plan in place. Without money to execute, your idea and plan is nothing more than simply an idea and a plan. We’ve brought together some VCs and successful entrepreneurs to shed light on how you should think about financing and funding. From this session you will get a good handle on the best practices as well as what your options and are when pursuing seed money.

To whom this may reach, My name is Curtis, and I am new to the IT field. I work at Redapt Systems, a local VAR, selling computer hardware in the Datacenter space. I have about zero time to ramp up, and get networked in the business. How do you suggest I meet people/companies who have computer hardware needs?
